We travel along the Caprivi Strip along Namibia and make a border crossing into Botswana at Ngoma. Not only is Ngoma and entry point into Botswana but it is also the entry point into the second largest National Park in Botswana, Chobe.

Chobe National Park incorporates some 11 000 sq km and in the dry months is home to tens and tens of thousands of elephants. In the dry months in Botswana some 90 000 elephants can be found within it’s borders and a huge amount descend on the banks of the Chobe river to take refuge and access water and food that is unavailable elsewhere in the region.
These conditions make Chobe National Park the best location to see the African Elephant! When you game drive through this park you will be taken back by the sheer numbers of elephants that can be found along the Chobe river. Due to Botswana’s excellent conservation stance elephants have come to Chobe extremely relaxed and allow you the privilege to see these massive creatures up close and personal.

We make the most of our opportunity in Chobe National Park and do an afternoon game drive, morning game drive and an afternoon cruise. Each activity provides something special. The afternoon game drive offers the opportunity to get close to elephants and other animals that venture to the rivers edge to get a drink before the sun sets.
The morning game drive is a search for the elusive predators that maybe exploring the park before the warmth of the sun drives them to the shade where they siesta for the day.

The afternoon game cruise offers a completely different experiences and you will appreciate the plethora of birdlife that live within the park as well as the hippos and buffalo that can be seen on the grassy islands in the Chobe river. What a great adventure Chobe National Park is to the wildlife lover.
